Mr Wissam Harake is the Country Economist for Lebanon at the World Bank. He belongs to the Macro and Fiscal Management Global Practice at the Bank.
Prior to his most recent stint with the Bank Group, Mr Harake was an economist with the Institute of International Finance based in Washington DC for two and half years, covering the Middle East and Africa region.
Mr Harake holds a master's and a PhD in Economics from American University in Washington DC, as well as an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mr Harake is based in the World Bank Group's Beirut office.
Mr. Raouf Abou Zaki is currently the CEO of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group.
He holds several positions including Editor in Chief of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Magazine and Secretary General of the Arab Union of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Forum, which is affiliated with the Council of Arab Economic Unity.
Mr. Abou Zaki was the Business Editor of Al-Nahar newspaper in Beirut. He was also Vice Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL).
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Lebanese Management Association (LMA).
الأستاذ رؤوف أبو زكي يشغل حاليا منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الاقتصاد والأعمال.
يشغل عدة مناصب منها رئيس تحرير مجلة الاقتصاد والأعمال الأمين العام للاتحاد العربي لمنتدى الاقتصاد والأعمال، التابع لمجلس الوحدة الاقتصادية العربية.
كما شغل الأستاذ أبو زكي منصب محرر الأعمال في صحيفة "النهار" وكان نائب رئيس المؤسسة العامة لتشجيع الإستثمارات في لبنان (ايدال).
هو عضو مجلس إدارة غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة في بيروت وجبل لبنان ومجلس إدارة الغرفة العربية السويسرية للتجارة، الجمعية اللبنانية لإدارة الأعمال
Ziad founded his start-up CardioDiagnostics in 2012. CardioDiagnostics is based on a core life-saving technology that he developed during his research time. The project is award-winner on Stars of Science, a popular reality TV which promotes innovation in the Arab world. It is also the winner of the global GIST Tech-I competition.
Ziad conducted research with top U.S. and Middle East hospitals. He has been a guest speaker at the White House discussing technology innovation in developing countries. He is actively promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in his community through coaching of young start-ups.
Ziad completed a BE in Computer Engineering at the Lebanese American University and double Masters in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the Ohio State University.
Rabih Hassouneh pursued his education at the Mission Laique Française and graduated in 1989. He then obtained with distinction a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Beirut Arab University in 1994 and his Master's degree in business administration in 2004 from Newport University.
Since he graduated in 1994 he held several positions in the profession of pharmacy. Founded and manages since 1996 two Pharmaceutical Companies handling importation, distribution and Marketing of Pharmaceuticals on the Lebanese Market.
He is Tutor of Pharmacy marketing and Management at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Beirut Arab University (BAU) and the Lebanese International University (LIU).
He was elected a member of the Board of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists since 2008 and was elected secretary of the Order from 2009 until 2012.
He was elected President of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists in 2012.
He also became a member of the International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP) since March 2013 and was elected as the first Lebanese pharmacist member of the Executive Committee of the Community Pharmacy Section in September 2014 for one year and was re-elected in October 2015 a member of the Committee for another 4 years.
He was the first Lebanese Pharmacist to be elected on 25 October 2014 as President of the Arab Pharmacists Union.
He was elected in October 2015 as President of FIP Forum for the East Mediterranean Region (EMROPharm Forum).
Rabih Hassouneh is also founder and Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Lebanese Company for Trade and Investment ELA S.A.L. and he was appointed in February 2017 as its General Manager.
Dr. Bifani is the General Manager of the Ministry of Finance in Lebanon. He is a member of the Central Bank of Lebanon’s board and the Supreme Banking Court.
He is Lebanon’s Alternate Governor at the World Bank, at the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and at the Agriculture Development Bank. In addition, he chairs the National Social Security fund’s financial committee.
Dr. Bifani holds a PhD in Economics from Sorbonne
