The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), World Bank Group, and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), assigned the planning of the Broader MENA Investment Summit (Dubai), to Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group.
Under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Industry of the United Arab Emirates, the event took place on 20-21 February 2007, and comprised of a lively schedule of panel discussions, workshops and matchmaking sessions.
The summit witnessed the presence and participation of key figures from investment and financial fields including, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, HE. Mohamad Omran, Chairman of Etisalat, Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of Dubai International Financial Center, Sheikh Mohammad Alireza Chairman of Xenel Group and Ms. Yukiko Omura the Executive Vice President of MIGA, World Bank Group.
Entitled “Integrating Arab Economies: Partners for Prosperity” The FIKR8 Conference took place in Kuwait City, under the Patronage of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on December 9 – 10, 2009.
The Arab Thought Foundation entrusted Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group with the planning of FIKR8 which provided a platform of debates and an exchange of ideas on what had recently been accomplished in the economic agenda of Arab countries.

Sawiris, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Orascom Telecom Holding SAE, Egypt.
The League of Arab States and the government of Kuwait entrusted Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal group with the organizing The Arab Private Sector and Civil Society Forum which coincided with the Arab Social, Economic and Development Summit on 17-18 January 2009.
High level officials took part in the forum including H.H.Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Ah-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Amro Moussa, Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
BUSINESSMED, BUSINESSEUROPE, assigned the organization of Med Invest 2009 forum to Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group. The event was held under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Sleiman; Med Invest 2009 took place on the 20th and 21st of February 2009 and coincided with the assembly of BUSINESSMED.
The forum aimed at strengthening economic relations between the European Union and the Mediterranean, highlighting the importance of the Mediterranean countries as a link of economic interaction between Europe and the Gulf, and promoting new business, investment and trading opportunities in various fields. Key speakers included Mr. Jacques Jean Sarraf President of BUSINESSMED, Mr. Ernest-Antoine Seillière President, BUSINESSEUROPE in Belgium, Mr. Pierre Simon, President of Chamber of Commerce of Paris and President of EUROCHAMBRES and H.E. Mr. Riad Salamé, Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon.
Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group organized three rounds of the Annual Satellite TV Broadcasters Forum for the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat), including the 4th and 5th rounds. The 5th Annual Satellite TV Broadcasters Forum, was held on the 8th and 9th 2010 and included seminars and social activities that revealed Arabsat latest news.
The 5th MENA Development Forum (MDF5) was held on April 6-9 at the Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel. Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal group was assigned the organizing of this event by MENA think tanks, the World Bank and the United Nations Development Program.
The forum was high-profile regional conference that focused on “making reforms work in the Middle East and North Africa. Lebanon was selected through a competitive bidding process, as it served as an important location for vibrant discussions on reforms, given the changes occurring at the time in the country. The Forum was held under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers H.E. Fuad Siniora.
